Eruption into Bloom

Painted in Kintamani with Mount Batur rising in view, this work is an offering to the island’s cycles of creation and dissolution. The volcano, whose eruptions carved Lake Batur — home to the goddess Dewi Danu — embodies destruction as a seed of renewal. In these colors, fire, water, and earth dissolve into one another, holding rupture and regeneration in the same breath.
