Beneath the Weight
2025
Acrylic, oil pastel on canvas
Available
This painting drifts between weight and fragility. Dark forms loom heavy, while pale pinks and whites scatter below like blossoms submerged in water or fragments of memory dissolving in haze. Depending on its orientation, the work reads as shadow pressing upon bloom, or bloom rising from shadow.
It embodies suspension — not fully collapse, not fully renewal — a state of in-between where beauty persists even under pressure.
