Garden of Shadows
2025
Acrylic, oil pastel, fire marks on canvas
Available
This painting hovers between bloom and dissolution. Pale, petal-like forms drift through green depths, sometimes rising like blossoms toward light, other times sinking like fragments into shadow. The drips and washes evoke water and memory, while the soft palette leans toward tenderness, suggesting that even in shadow, fragility and beauty persist.
Depending on orientation, the painting reads as emergence or descent, surface or submersion. It is less a fixed garden than a shifting one — a mirror of how what blooms is always in the process of fading, and what fades carries the seed of bloom.
