Paradox in Bloom
2025
Acrylic, oil pastel on canvas
Available
This painting is composed to exist in more than one orientation, each angle unlocking a different emotional register. In its original vertical form, the central cluster of crimson and white becomes visceral — a glowing wound, a heart, or a bloom suspended in shadow. Rotated, the same forms disperse and rise, suggesting dissolution, transmutation, and the scattering of memory into air.
The work is not bound to one fixed image. Instead, it invites the viewer into paradox: collapse and ascent, wound and blossom, fragmentation and renewal. Its multiplicity mirrors the artist’s own process — an embrace of contradiction, where shadow and light are not opposites but shifting aspects of the same whole.
