The Shadow Turns

This work embodies a threshold between collapse and emergence.
Dense layers of shadowed greens and blacks cascade downward, while flashes of crimson pulse like embers or wounds within the mist. White currents cut through the darkness — at once unraveling and rising — suggesting both descent into dissolution and the first stirring of renewal.
Depending on its orientation, the painting shifts its voice:
Hung one way, it becomes a storm breaking apart, a surrender to gravity and release.
Turned the other, it breathes upward like smoke, roots igniting into blossoms, carrying the hidden pulse of life into air.
It is a work of inversion — holding the paradox that within every shadow lies both the weight of undoing and the seed of becoming.
